Of course, a move cannot be completely emission-free and without environmental impact. After all, the removal goods have to be packed, transported and unpacked again. This cannot be done entirely without packaging waste and energy consumption. However, Krügel Umzüge has been one of the leading removal companies in Germany for many years and has been explicitly dedicated to the topic of environmental protection since 2011. Thanks to our sophisticated environmental management, we are able to reduce pollutants, minimize the negative impact on nature that a move can have and take climate protection into account with every kilometer we transport your removal goods. As an active environmental partner of the City of Hamburg, we have decided to become an active environmental partner and provide voluntary environmental protection services in Hamburg and throughout Germany. The measures to increase resource efficiency and the implementation of environmental activities are reviewed by the Environmental Partnership office before we are accepted as an Environmental Partner. Our aim is to promote high-quality environmental and climate protection.

As the leading removal company in Hamburg, we at Krügel Umzugslogistik want to do our part to protect the climate - box by box, kilometer by kilometer, move by move. As a family business, climate and environmental protection are so important to us that we don't just talk about the weather, we act to save our climate! We introduced a professional environmental management system back in 2011. The certification based on DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 creates a clear management framework for our operational environmental management in the area of removals in order to reduce negative environmental impacts. This enables Krügel Logistik to ensure for itself and its customers that we meet all legal requirements in environmental protection.
The standard provides a systematic approach to the planning, implementation and management of our environmental management system - in line with the environmental obligations that a modern (removals) company like Krügel has. However, we consider environmental management to be only a basic framework and go beyond the legal guidelines that apply to climate-friendly removals.

We are aware that the transport and logistics industry is also a major source of climate-damaging CO2 in Germany and are now setting a good example with our commitment and would like to actively involve you as our customers in our climate protection efforts. The integration of the CO2 calculation into our order software for removals enables us to provide our customers with a customized offer for offsetting the CO2 emissions generated by their move. The CO2 emissions generated by the move are offset exclusively by Gold Standard certificates and also include a direct commitment to climate protection in Germany.
Instead of offsetting emissions retrospectively during a move, we at Krügel Umzugslogistik are also very keen to generate as little as possible. As a group of companies in the furniture transport industry that moves many hundreds of vehicles every day, we achieve this through intelligent removal management, in which we plan all our tours in advance, make optimum use of every truck in our vehicle fleet and avoid every unnecessary kilometer. As an important element in reducing emissions during a move, we offer our customers the additional load service. Here, removal goods can be sent in addition to a larger shipment. This environmentally friendly way of moving is particularly suitable if the move is not particularly extensive. In any case, it is easy on your wallet and on the environment.
Our vehicles only use environmentally friendly fuels and comply with the latest Euro emission standards. The journeys are IT-optimized and GPS-supported. Climate protection and environmental management out of the box
Moving in a climate-neutral way with Krügel moving logistics does not just take place on the move, but starts when your move begins: when packing. As part of Krügel's removal management, we therefore use confern boxes whenever possible. These plastic boxes are sturdy, inexpensive and sustainable, as they can be used countless times. Our practical confern boxes are extremely robust (up to 50 kilograms load weight) and can be stacked very easily thanks to their special shape. The lid protects your removal or transportation goods from rain and dirt. With our reusable confern boxes, you and we save resources and protect the environment with every move!
If confern boxes are not suitable for certain removal goods, our movers always pack all items under the premise of using packaging material safely but as sparingly as possible. This is because Krügel Logistik's removal management also includes regularly sensitizing employees to climate protection and environmental issues. The professional separation and disposal of packaging materials (whereby we recycle as much as possible) is of course part of this.
Environmental protection when moving - what you can do yourself
However, you as a customer can also make a significant contribution to environmental management during your move: before you move, think carefully about what furniture, items and clothing you actually want to take with you. A move is always a good opportunity to clear out. And the fewer items we have to transport, the lower the environmental impact. You can also use alternative packaging options, such as using clothes or towels to pack fragile items. Or you can convert laundry baskets into moving boxes... And of course, you should always hire a moving company like Krügel Umzüge that not only promotes environmental protection, but lives it.
