Only permanent employees work at Krügel. As a matter of principle, we do not employ temporary staff, students or personnel from temporary employment agencies. This makes Krügel Umzugslogistik an exception among removal companies in Germany. Our employees are well trained and motivated to carry out your move successfully. Our consultants, dispatchers, movers, specialist packers, carpenters, fitters, professional drivers, warehouse staff and team leaders work together to ensure that your move is a complete success.

To ensure that we maintain and continuously improve the high quality of our services, we have introduced a quality management system (QMS) at Krügel Umzugslogistik. The QMS was certified to EN ISO 9002 in 1994 and extended to EN ISO 9001 in 2002. All our staff receive regular training. The materials we use are checked annually. We are constantly asking ourselves what we can do even better, because our ambition is to offer you maximum quality - consistently and without compromise.

Company relocations are an important pillar of the Krügel company. We have learned that every move has its own special features. Whether it's the tight time frame for a company relocation, the shell of a building in which the new office equipment is to be installed, a safe weighing several tons or a move to the farthest corner of Asia - our customers like to present us with new challenges that enrich our wealth of experience. Anything but boredom! And that's with 25,000 office workstations that we relocate every year. In other words, that's around 125,000 meters (125km) of files that we transport (including packing and unpacking if necessary) and 25,000 PCs that we install.

The company Krügel Umzugslogistik GmbH over the years

The company history of Krügel Umzüge began with two men, a lot of entrepreneurial spirit and an old van. This was to develop into a quarter of a century of success for a medium-sized Hamburg company.

1992 The company KRÜGEL Transport-Montage-Service was founded by the brothers Michael and Mario Krügel. The company starts as a classic transport and removal company in Hamburg-Eppendorf.

1995 Employment of Alexander von Drathen. The company now has three commercial employees. Move from Eppendorf to Allermöhe.

1996 Full-page advertisement in the "Yellow Pages". Krügel makes a name for itself in the industry with its first major removal inquiries.

1997 Alexander von Drathen joins the company as a further partner and managing director. With the entry of the third partner, the range of services in the business customer sector is significantly expanded. This significantly advances the company.

1998 The company now employs 18 people and has a fleet of 5 removal vans. Partner Michael Krügel leaves the company.

1999 The company is renamed Krügel oHG and moves to Basedowstrasse 2-8 in Hamburg Hammerbrook.

2000 Hiring of the future authorized signatory Annett Berlin. Change of legal form to a GmbH, from now on KRÜGEL GmbH. Rental of an additional 500 m² of storage space.

2001 Enlargement of the offices, expansion of the vehicle fleet.

2002 The range of services grows with the expansion of the removals logistics division.

2005 Technical development with the purchase of the first mobile furniture lift and a swap body furniture truck.

2006 Rental of a further 2000m² of handling and storage space in Basedowstrasse. Mrs. Annett Berlin receives power of attorney.

2007 Entry as shareholder and system partner of confern Möbeltransportbetriebe GmbH. Preparation for certification as a quality moving partner.

2008 Acquisition ofthe city office at Breitenfelder Strasse 19 in Hamburg Eppendorf. Krügel is certified according to DIN ISO 9001:2000. Start of a consistent quality offensive to safeguard the company's performance and quality standards.

2009 Marco Bock becomes project manager at Krügel GmbH. Large property relocations are now also realized at the same time. The specialization in professionally organized full-service removals from a single source begins. Capital increase of the share capital to € 75,000.

2010 Partner Mario Krügel leaves the company. On May 1, 2010, Alexander von Drathen becomes the sole proprietor. Restructuring of the company, followed by steady growth. The administration office in Hamburg is expanded to become the headquarters for removal logistics. The fleet now comprises 12 trucks and three trailers. Krügel now employs 45 people, most of whom are trained specialists.

2011 Krügel further expands its new furniture logistics and fitted kitchens divisions. Logistics and warehouse space is rented in Hamburg-Finkenwerder. A milestone is the framework agreement with Airbus for relocation and logistics services in Hamburg, Bremen and Stade.

2012 Environmental certification according to DIN ISO 14001. Due to high demand, the expansion of central services that go beyond pure relocation begins. There is now another branch in Kiel.

2013 Opening of the Lübeck branch. For the first time in the company's history, Krügel employs more than 100 people. Double-digit million turnover is generated, further expanding the company's market-leading position. Marco Bock is appointed authorized signatory.

2014 Elected confern partner of the year. The ideal removal partner was chosen in the areas of reliability, cooperative behavior and quality in the execution of removals.

2015 Change of name from Krügel GmbH to KRÜGEL Umzugslogistik GmbH. Rental of a further 4800 m² of storage and logistics space in Hamburg/Billbrook. The total storage space now offers significantly more than 10,000 m² of space.

2016 The new website goes online. Re-opening of the Eppendorf city office.

2017 Elected confern partner of the year again. Highest turnover year in the company's history. The offices and lounges are renovated and ergonomically furnished.

2018 Expansion and refurbishment of the offices - the Krügel Group employs more than 200 people for the first time.

2019 Development of long-distance removals by rail transport. Krügel consolidates its position as one of the best removal companies in Germany, once again taking first place in the election for removal partner of the year.

2020 Re-elected as moving partner of the year. Despite the coronavirus pandemic, all business divisions were able to continue operating profitably. Digital inspection (moverscan) becomes established.

2021 Expansion of warehouse capacity by a further 4200 m² in Billbrook. 5 charging stations for the planned e-mobility. Founding member of ReLogg and Neumöbel-Hub, hub for northern Germany with a total of 18,000 m2 of warehouse space.

2022 Strong sales growth - the Krügel Group exceeds 20 million in sales for the first time. There are now 10 e-vehicles in the fleet. Moving company of the year among the confern partner companies for the 4th time in a row. GoGreenMoving is launched.
