Deducting the move from tax

If you take the following tips into account when planning your move, you could even save a euro or two! In the case of removals (these count as household-related services) carried out by removal companies, the pure labor costs can be claimed for tax purposes - up to an amount of 4,000 euros. The prerequisite for this is that you can prove the expenses by submitting an invoice showing the labor costs and the payment to the account of the removal company by means of a receipt from your bank. Deductibility is not given if the costs are reimbursed by the employer or an office/authority.

Removal costs incurred for professional reasons can be claimed as income-related expenses in the income tax return and in the application for annual income tax equalization. As with all income-related expenses, the professional nature of the move is an essential prerequisite for the tax recognition of moving expenses.

The costs of a job-related move are fully tax-deductible, including all incidental costs - including your personal travel expenses. Renovation costs, especially those that serve to improve thermal insulation, are partially tax-deductible.
Term
Talk to your confern consultant in good time about the date of your move, even if this can still change. confern is always flexible when it comes to adjusting dates. Your confern consultant will draw up the schedule for your move after his first visit.
Tip
