Of course, you can also apply for a no-stopping zone for the day of the change of address yourself. In most cases, this can be done at the road traffic office or the district office. Remember to submit the application at least two to three weeks before the move to ensure that you receive the permit on time and can set up the no-stopping zone two to four days before the big day. After all, you should be accommodating enough to give your new and old neighbors enough time to re-park before the removal van arrives. When applying for the no-stopping zone, please bear in mind that a removal van needs space for loading and unloading as well as maneuvering. Always apply for an additional four or five meters.

No stopping zone for your move:
Here are the most important rules on parking zones for people moving house:

In most cases, stopping bans only apply to one side of the street - for a length of one to 15 meters for a period of one to two days. However, you can also apply for a stopping ban on both sides of the road. This makes sense, for example, in narrow old town alleyways or on busy streets that are difficult to see. In the case of very narrow streets, such a closure is ordered by the police. However, this is rarely the case.
